Elections

The Student Representative Council (SRC) is a team of UTS students elected annually by the student body, to represent all UTS students. It is also the governing body of the UTS Students' Association (UTSSA) and is chaired by the UTSSA President.

Elections for the SRC and Vertigo (UTS student magazine) take place in the Spring Semester of each year. UTS students can vote for the following positions:

President

Elected by and from the student body

Secretary

Elected by and from the student body

Treasurer

Elected by and from the student body

Postgraduate Officer

Elected by and from postgraduate students

Women's Officer

Elected by and from women students

Overseas Students' Officer

Elected by and from students who hold an Overseas Student Visa

Australian Indigenous Officer

Elected by and from Australian Indigenous Students

10 Student Representative Councillors

Elected by and from the student body

7 delegates to the National Union of Students

Elected by and from the student body

Vertigo Editorial Team

Elected by and from the student body

Broadway Campus

To be elected by and from students whose primary place of study is Broadway Campus:

  • A Convenor, A Secretary and 10 Campus Committee Members
  • A Women's Officer elected by and from women students whose primary place of study is Broadway.


Markets Campus

To be elected by and from students whose primary place of study is Markets Campus:

  • A Convenor, A Secretary and 10 Campus Committee Members
  • A Women's Officer elected by and from women students whose primary place of study is Markets Campus.
