Request a Peer Tutor

The UTS Students’ Association provides a Peer Tutoring service for UTS students.

Peer Tutors are UTS students who have completed a subject at UTS with a result of Credit, Distinction or High Distinction, and are willing to help other students. Most tutors charge $25 per hour, paid directly to the tutor by the student, during each lesson.

Once we have received your form we will email you a list of students who tutor in your subject(s) and their contact details for you to contact directly to discuss availability and payment. Please note, we can only send tutor details to a UTS email address.

Peer Tutors and students can meet online or in person. If meeting in person, we recommend meeting in a public place such as the UTS Library. The Peer Tutor and student should discuss the most appropriate platform for their tutoring sessions based on the learning requirements and access of each, at the time of booking the first session. If you wish, you can also discuss the specific areas you need help with and what format you would like the tutoring session(s) to take.

  • Undertaking: I agree that if my subject(s) are matched with a Peer Tutor and I am given his/her details that I will not use that information for any other purpose, or give, disclose or publish that information to any other person, without the tutor’s consent.
