This service has been created by UTS together with the UTS Students’ Association to provide students with free legal advice, or referrals where appropriate. It is a service that has been made possible as a result of the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF).
The service is run by a solicitor, Michael Blaxell, who has over 20 years’ experience as a lawyer. He is assisted by two trainee lawyers. All legal advice is provided by the solicitor, and all matters are dealt with in strict confidence.
Legal advice will be provided on a range of matters including tenancy issues, consumer claims, contractual advice, motor traffic matters, criminal offences, and many other areas. Basically, the service can assist you with all types of legal matters, except claims involving or against UTS, and migration matters.
